Salt Lake City, United States Metro Group Inc Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Metro Group, Inc. is a premier metal recycling and transload company based in Salt Lake City with facilities throughout Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. Family owned and operated since 1976, Metro Group is committed to providing quality service with integrity. As a growing company, we are looking for a self-motivated individual passionate about customer service, optimizing experience and enhancing the effectiveness of our team. We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner.

Are you looking to expand your mechanical knowledge and aptitude? We are looking for someone that has experience with maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment, but also someone who wants to expand their knowledge and learn new machinery. As a level I Technician, we would expect that you have experience with heavy equipment repair and maintenance, but understand that we have more industry specific equipment that you will be able to learn.

Are you a team player, but OK working on you own as well? Our maintenance shop works together as a team to complete work orders. However, there are times where you will be assigned a task to complete on your own so having a strong work ethic is important.

Do you have a Customer Service mindset? You customers are your co-workers. Whether you are fixing one of our forklifts, trailers, trucks or Sennebogans, your customers are those who operate that equipment. Rather than putting on a band-aid, we want to provide WOW customer service and fix the root of the problem.
