We are looking for a Cylinder Maintenance Technician to join our team

Hourly pay range: $20-26/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.

Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Cylinder Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that the equipment and the performance of duties are compliant and follow all local, state, federal, DOT, and EPA regulations.

In this role you will:

  • Operate, calibrate, and perform simple maintenance with/on computerized hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testing equipment.
  • Receives incoming new cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies
  • Check expiration date of cylinder and make sure proper DOT number is correct for the size of the cylinder
  • Inspects and scraps defective cylinders
  • Performs cylinder conversions including de valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves
  • Repairs cylinder neck leaks and safety leaks
  • Paints cylinders
  • Record test results, cylinder serial number, and test date in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform various other tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Gas industry and cylinder maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, operating systems, and software applications such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment with varying climate/temperature conditions
  • Be able to work while standing/walking for full shift
  • Be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Be able to move cylinders up to 150 pounds regularly
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and overhead hoists
