Job Description for: Maintenance Department Assistant Manager

Pay Range: Hourly $26.00-$30.00

Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week over 5 days. Shifts will typically be 9-5 or 10-6 with some opening or closing shifts based on the needs of the business.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs and/or delegates repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility. 
  • Supports the department manager in radio calls and sometimes assumes all responsibility for radio calls. 
  • Assists the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Make recommendations when hiring, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Assists in monitoring business volume forecasts and plans accordingly in areas of manpower and productivity through delegation. 
  • Assists Department Manager in communicating any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Set clear expectations and follows up on the quality of work.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in maintenance tech or as a handyman is required. 
  • Previous experience in electric, HVAC or masonry are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must have open availability to work, including weekends and holidays
