Summary:


WRE is hiring an Estimator in the Orlando FL area. This is a full-time, salaried plus bonus position with full benefits and 401k. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with the ability to interface with our clients, execute bid submittals and be a team player. Estimator will be responsible for assisting in winning projects by evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we have everything required to successfully bid on a project, and by presenting the bid to prospective clients by expected deadlines. Estimator must aggressively follow-up on all submitted bids. The Estimator will work closely with operations and the management team to ensure that the budgets, scope of work and client's needs are met. To be considered for this position you must have previous estimating/sales experience, preferably in water, wastewater, industrial markets, storm and sewer maintenance/service, underground utilities, CIPP lining.


Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and evaluating bid packages, obtaining pricing for materials, contingency and risk analysis for the estimate and pre-review
  • Estimator must aggressively follow-up on all submitted bids. The Estimator will work closely with operations and the management team to ensure that the budgets, scope of work and client's needs are met.
  • Analyzing and compiling estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location and other factors
  • Communicating estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of scope of job and critical means and methods of construction
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with owners, small businesses, subcontractors and suppliers by creating strategic alliances and increase bid opportunities
  • Ability to provide conceptual estimates from limited information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, interpreting construction drawings and understanding specifications.
  • Must be able to review take-off quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates and review drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions.
