Technical Recruitment Manager

Introduction:
Are you an experienced technical recruitment leader with a passion for shaping and executing strategic hiring initiatives? Do you excel at managing teams and designing recruitment processes that bring in the best technical talent? If you're a visionary recruitment professional who thrives on building world-class engineering teams, then our client has an exciting role for you. We’re looking for a Technical Recruitment Manager (aka The Talent Architect) to lead and optimize our recruiting efforts while growing and mentoring a high-performing team.
Imagine being at the forefront of talent acquisition in a rapidly growing tech company where your ability to build recruitment strategies directly impacts the company’s success. As the Technical Recruitment Manager at our client, you’ll lead the recruitment team, create strategic hiring plans, and partner with leadership to ensure the company attracts and retains top-tier technical talent. This role is about more than just filling positions—it’s about creating long-term talent solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy that aligns with the company’s growth and technical hiring needs. You’ll partner with leadership to set hiring priorities and develop recruiting plans to meet both short-term and long-term goals.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead and manage a team of technical recruiters, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success. You’ll help team members refine their skills, improve sourcing techniques, and deliver a seamless candidate experience.
- End-to-End Recruitment Process Management:
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding. You’ll ensure that the recruitment process is efficient, data-driven, and aligned with best practices for technical hiring.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with engineering leadership, department heads, and hiring managers to understand talent needs, craft job descriptions, and set recruitment priorities. You’ll provide market insights and recruitment metrics to help stakeholders make informed hiring decisions.
- Talent Pipeline Building:
- Build and nurture a strong talent pipeline for high-demand technical roles such as software engineers, DevOps specialists, data scientists, and cloud architects. You’ll create strategies for passive candidate engagement, ensuring the company is always ahead in the talent market.
- Employer Branding and Candidate Experience:
- Champion the company’s employer brand by promoting its culture, values, and technical opportunities. You’ll ensure a top-tier candidate experience, creating a recruiting environment where talent is eager to join the company.
- Recruitment Analytics and Reporting:
- Use data and metrics to track recruitment performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. You’ll provide regular reports on recruiting KPIs such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire to leadership.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Technical Recruitment Expertise: Deep understanding of the technical landscape, including software engineering, DevOps, data science, and IT roles. You’re comfortable discussing technical requirements and have successfully recruited for a wide range of technical positions.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Proven experience leading and developing a team of technical recruiters. You’re skilled at fostering collaboration, providing feedback, and driving results across your team.
- Strategic Sourcing: Expertise in sourcing passive and active technical candidates through platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and industry-specific networks. You’re familiar with using creative and proactive methods to engage top talent.
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Extensive experience managing the entire recruitment process for technical roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers. You’ve successfully hired talent in high-demand areas and know how to optimize recruiting processes.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership. You’re skilled at presenting market insights and advocating for recruitment best practices.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience using recruiting metrics and analytics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You rely on data to drive recruitment strategies and optimize the hiring process.
- Humor: A great sense of humor, because we believe in fostering a productive and enjoyable work environment. If you can balance the pressure of recruitment while keeping things fun and engaging for the team, you’re our kind of manager.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience with a proven track record in technical recruiting management is also valued.
- Certifications in HR or recruiting (e.g., SHRM, AIRS) are a plus. If you’ve completed leadership or recruitment strategy courses, that’s an added advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing a recruitment team. You’ve successfully hired for technical roles in high-growth environments.
- Proven experience in building and scaling recruitment teams in industries such as tech startups, SaaS, or high-tech enterprises.
- Expertise in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools to manage pipelines and improve efficiency.
Benefits
- Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with low co-pays and premiums.
- Paid Time Off: Competitive vacation, sick leave, and 20 paid holidays per year.
- Work-Life Balance: Flexible work schedules and telecommuting options.
