Job Description

$13.12 - $16.39 / Per Hour based on experience

The Loss Control Team Member is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the gym’s property, assets, members, and staff during the night shift. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, managing access control, preventing unauthorized access, resolving conflicts professionally, and maintaining detailed incident reports. Additionally, the Loss Control Team Member will assist with gym operations, including inventory management, customer service, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor surveillance footage and door access entry to protect property and assets, recording any damage or injury situations
  • Exercise professional conflict resolution when assisting customers with questions, requests, concerns, and complaints
  • Deny gym access to non-members and unauthorized guests, removing individuals who are causing or have caused property damage
  • Provide detailed reports to the Risk and Compliance Supervisor on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
  • Maintain working knowledge of club operations, such as monitoring gym access by members, POS transactions, member interactions, and the essential functions of the club management software
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies and club rules
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and presentable gym
  • Monitor email for general communications updates from management and communicate security infractions
  • Assist with inventory management through spot checks and inventory audits

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work overnight and on weekends 
  • Access to reliable transportation with the ability to regularly travel between clubs within the market
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally, and in writing
  • Must possess integrity, trust, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations
  • Problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Essential Physical Requirements
    • Ability to read effectively and concentrate for extended periods
    • Typing and computer operations
    • Touring the club: walking and climbing stairs
    • Ability to bend and squat
    • Sitting and standing for long periods 
    • Ability to lift at least 45lbs

Preferred

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in loss control or related fields (preferred)
