Heaton Erecting, Inc. is currently seeking a Parts and Service Coordinator to join our Operations Team who will oversee the activities of purchasing, inventory, and work orders for the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Purchases supplies, materials, and parts.
- Creates and maintains supplies and materials inventory.
- Creates and maintains work orders for equipment services.
- Negotiates and completes contracts with vendors to aid optimal cost and delivery times.
- Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
- Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of routine maintenance.
- Organize and maintain maintenance reports to help with timely servicing of company equipment.
- Generates purchase orders and receivers.
- Supports the three-way matching process and helps as needed with Accounts Payable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Requirements/Attributes:
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products, excel, word, outlook, teams.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Understanding of operational software with the ability to quickly learn company’s various software platforms.
- NexGen Fleet Management Software experience is a plus.
- At least two years of experience in heavy equipment, automotive or truck parts warehouse, repair center, dealership, or similar facility highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate shop and reach items both high and low.
