The Safety Program Manager is responsible for the development, oversight, and management of the Safety Program for Paul Davis-owned operations as part of overall Governance and Risk Management. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while also performing safety audits and assessments to prevent workplace safety and fleet-related incidents. This role will plan, enforce, and conduct preventive care, safety, and compliance training programs. The position will also establish and report on a consistent set of key Safety metrics each month and drive efforts to continuously improve and reduce incidents.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and formalize safety programs: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corporate fleet and workplace safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Fleet Safety Management: Oversee the safety of the company's fleet operations, including driver training, vehicle maintenance protocols, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Workplace Safety: Implement and monitor workplace safety procedures, including hazard assessments, safety training programs, and emergency response plans across all job sites.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring consistent understanding and adherence to safety policies.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at job sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior management.
  • Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety within the organization, encouraging proactive identification of risks and continuous improvement in safety practices.
Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CSP, ASP, CHST) are required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the construction or restoration industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing fleet safety programs
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
