This role involves managing projects, supporting your team, and delivering high-quality services in solid waste engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Design: Expertise in designing landfills and solid waste facilities, ensuring compliance, and preparing construction documentation.
  • Project Management: Overseeing projects, delegating tasks, and mentoring team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in site layout, grading, drainage, and designing systems like force mains, leachate and gas collection, stormwater management, and erosion control. Experience with AutoCAD is essential.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Knowledge of design and permitting for landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Ability to prepare technical reports, including operating plans, CQA reports, and permit applications. Experience in observing and documenting construction activities.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Skills in air and water monitoring, data analysis, and implementing solutions to design challenges.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear report writing.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Geological or Environmental Engineering required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in civil or environmental engineering, preferably with a focus on solid waste projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • EIT/P.E. license preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to include proposal writing and reporting
  • Experience in Rational, SCS hydrological analysis or other storm water analysis preferred
  • Experience with State and Municipal projects a plus
  • Travel will be required
  • Valid Driver's license required
