Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Implement and manage data orchestration workflows, ensuring efficient data processing.
- Utilize PostgreSQL for database management, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Version control using GitHub for code management and collaboration.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Automate data extraction and transformation processes through ODBC connections.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
- Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in any relational database (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub.
- Experience working with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Shipyard experience.
- SAMM experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, including PgAdmin for database management.
- Hands-on experience with Dagster or similar data orchestrators.
- Familiarity with ODBC connections and data integration techniques.
- Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards in Tableau.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong research, problem solving, and analytical skills.
