Job Description: As a Bilingual Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and effective patient care. You will assist with various medical and administrative tasks, including patient intake, record management, and supporting medical staff in delivering top-notch healthcare services. Your bilingual skills will be essential in providing excellent care to our Spanish-speaking patients and ensuring clear communication throughout their visit.

Compensation:

$16 - $18.75 hourly

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary information is collected and recorded accurately.
  • Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories in both English and Spanish.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, explain processes and answer questions.
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs, administering injections, and performing basic lab tests.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, providing reminders and follow-up calls as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including answering phones, processing insurance claims, and managing office supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Previous medical assistant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and office practices.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and general office software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor.
