Role Overview: As a Development Accountant at GG Homes, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and auditing functions for our commercial and multi-family building projects. This role primarily focuses on handling accounts payable for all development projects and managing all invoicing. It is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable with complex financial tasks, and enjoys working independently to ensure accuracy and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts payable for all development projects, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Manage all invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets for development projects.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to provide financial insights and support.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to stakeholders on project performance and financial status.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is required.
  • Recent graduates with a degree in accounting are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
