Role Overview: As a Development Accountant at GG Homes, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and auditing functions for our commercial and multi-family building projects. This role primarily focuses on handling accounts payable for all development projects and managing all invoicing. It is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable with complex financial tasks, and enjoys working independently to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle accounts payable for all development projects, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
- Manage all invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets for development projects.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to provide financial insights and support.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to stakeholders on project performance and financial status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Recent graduates with a degree in accounting are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
