Program Manager Description: The ideal Program Manager role will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree and/or have a combination of supply chain knowledge and relevant experience in a customer-facing role. A qualified candidate should possess the ability to lead customer business review presentations on a variety of topics which may include but not limited to, on time delivery, sales trends, obsolesces inventory, cost saving initiatives, fulfillment solution projects, scope expansion and any other projects. It addition, the Program manager must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Oversee supply chain including manage customer relationships to grow our business, guarantee parts are ordered timely to insure on-time delivery, identify key parts for overseas COGS deflation and own execution on deflationary efforts, drive process improvements, insure prompt payment on invoicing.
  • Review customer forecast and usage through data analysis to show current trends and predict future trends in order to prepare correct stocking levels with taking lead time into consideration.
  • Manage discrete, ILM, VMI and/or consignment inventory programs while consistently improving the fulfillment process.
  • Develop target customer service levels and team goals; position team to achieve goals.
  • Provide technical and product knowledge support to supplier and customer base though coordinated quarterly access / dead Stock discussions to ensure account is properly maintained.
  • Handle escalations our customer may experience to resolve shortages and possible line down issues.
  • In some cases, the Program Manager may have management responsibilities of a small team of Inside Sales Representatives and/or Project Managers.

Program Manager Requirements: The Program Manager should preferably possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a customer-facing role within the supply chain industry OR an equivalent combination of education and experience within the supply chain industry in program management/sales/service capacities owning program strategy and end to end delivery. The ideal candidate should posses the ability to define and execute against program requirements. The Program Manager should possess a combination of proven product and application knowledge, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, organization skills, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions with influence presenting to senior executive.
