We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our teaching team as a Head Start teacher in our cherished school. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners while fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds. Starting Pay: $19/hr. Full-time

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Curriculum Development: Design and implement a culturally enriched curriculum that celebrates and preserves the local Pomo culture.

· Inclusive Teaching Practices: Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that accommodates the diverse needs of each child, fostering a love for learning.

· Family Engagement: Build strong partnerships with families to support children’s development, including regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in classroom activities.

· Cultural Events and Celebrations: Organize and participate in cultural events and celebrations at the school, fostering a sense of unity among students, families, and staff.

· Assessment and Observation: Conduct ongoing assessments and observations to track children’s progress and tailor teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education/ Child Development or a related field.

· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.

· FBI Fingerprint clearance.
