We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transportation Logistics Specialist to join our team at Voltage-LLC. The Transportation Logistics Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of materials and equipment to support our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate transportation logistics for incoming and outgoing materials and equipment to and from project sites, suppliers, and distribution centers.
  • Plan and schedule transportation routes, modes of transport, and carriers to optimize cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Consult with internal project teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, permits, customs requirements, and safety standards.
  • Track and monitor shipments in real-time to ensure timely delivery and provide regular updates to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain transportation-related documentation, including shipping records, bills of lading, customs documents, and transportation contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the transportation logistics function.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to forecast transportation needs and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Provide support and assistance to project teams during transportation-related emergencies, such as supply chain disruptions or delays.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 3 years working in transportation logistics, preferably within the EPC industry or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping practices.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle Transportation Management, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and mindfulness, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with an initiative-taking and solutions-oriented approach to overcoming transportation challenges.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites or supplier locations as needed.
