NVR is seeking a Proposals Manager for our Chantilly VA location to join our Corporate Growth team.

Job description for Proposals Manager:

  • Familiar with and proficient in government proposal processes, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and teaming agreements.
  • Identify and Review Government and Commercial RFP/Solicitations in detail and be familiar with requirements.
  • Develop & deliver high-quality, compliant, proposals and responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) solicitations, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ) from Government or commercial entities.
  • Manage all aspects of proposal development (Executive Summary, Technical, Managerial, Supply Chain, Past Performance and Cost-Pricing).
  • Handle the entire proposal process, from proposal pre-work to proposal creation and delivery.
  • Oversee all proposal and response preparation activities, including establishing/overseeing the preparation schedule to meet mandated deadlines.
  • Write proposal content and narrative as necessary to meet response requirements that is free of errors (grammatical, spelling, sentence structure, etc.)
  • Ensuring past performance citations are updated and are created as new contracts are awarded to the company.
  • Research if needed on RFP technical/functional areas to gain a better understanding of material to be written.
  • Execute editing, proofreading, and final editing/formatting of text prior to ensure delivery of error-free proposals/responses
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team of junior proposal writers.
  • Ability to effectively manage and report on the performance and progress of team members with varying levels of experience

Minimum Requirement:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical and/or proposal writing with prior strong background in US Federal proposal writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in usage of MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and PDF
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field required; MBA preferred.
