Scope of Work

Position: Consultant – Amplify Recruitment

Time Period: July 1 – October 15, 2024; estimated up to 10 hours per week

Amount: $50 per hour

Overview: Amplify Chicago is seeking a consultant to manage outreach and recruitment for the all-male cohort starting on October 21, 2024

Deliverable: Consultant goals will be to deliver 100 interested candidates for the cohort (8-10 candidates/week). Candidates will go through the Amplify selection process (e.g. mandatory information session, application, pre-assessment, individual and group interviews). 12 to 15 candidates will be selected to begin the cohort.

Materials/Supplies: Consultant will coordinate with the Amplify team around collateral needed for recruitment (e.g. hard copy flyers, etc.). Amplify will cover the cost of agreed upon recruitment materials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Foot, word-of-mouth, electronic and phone outreach to distribute marketing information targeting women-serving agencies, organizations, affinity groups and Amplify referral partners. (Cohort recruitment flyers will be provided by Amplify).
  • Create a spreadsheet for tracking all outreach activities and outcomes including all successful and unsuccessful contacts, referrals, and follow ups with organizations and individuals.
  • Check the recruitment hotline voicemail 2 times per day, contact interested candidates, pre-screen them per requirements and schedule them for the mandatory information sessions.
  • Make reminder calls, text messages, emails as needed.
  • Provide a weekly recruitment update to Amplify team, including upcoming events and engagement strategies during weekly recruitment calls.
  • Assist Amplify staff in preparing for the information sessions, interviews and final selection.
  • Manage all follow up and next step correspondence with candidates as they complete candidate requirements and advance to the final interview and selection stage including tracking completion and advancement decisions in the tracking spreadsheet.
  • Make sure all recruitment-related documents are kept up-to-date daily in the appropriate cohort google drive files.

Timeline:

Phase I – Marketing Campaign: July 2024

  • A robust social media campaign blitz of success stories, program offerings, and upcoming enrollment.
  • Attend/host speaking engagements selling the program.
  • Email blasts
  • Individuals who sign up to be on the waiting list receive regular updates about the program that include talent success stories.
  • Outreach to all previously interested candidates and screen for current cohort.

Phase II – Marketing, Recruitment + Info Sessions: July/August 2024

  • Social media blitz and other outreach from Phase I continues
  • Individuals on the signup list receive an invite to the info sessions
  • Candidates are tracked telephonically on a bi-monthly basis
  • Info sessions are held online on a weekly basis*
  • TABE testing is held face-to-face on a weekly basis*
  • Candidates are tracked on LMS on a bi-monthly basis*

Phase III – Recruitment + Info Sessions + Follow up Engagement Continued: August to October 2024 (same as Phase II with increased frequency)

  • Social media blitz and other outreach continues
  • Individuals on the signup list receive invites to the info sessions
  • Info sessions are held online on a bi-weekly basis*
  • TABE testing is held face-to-face on a bi-weekly basis*
  • Candidates are tracked on LMS on a bi-monthly basis
  • Candidates are tracked telephonically on a bi-monthly basis.

*NOTE: Amplify full-time staff will manage and facilitate virtual and/or in-person information sessions and TABE testing sessions. The Recruitment Consultant will manage communication before and after sessions.
