Survey Coordinator

Job Summary:
- Survey Coordinators oversee the day to day operations of the Survey Crew through Project Management Platform. Survey Coordinators holds a pre-planning meeting with the Survey Technicians to assign the schedule and job site logistics. Prepare and maintain crew expenses, update trackers, book all travel related requirements (flights, rentals, hotels.) Point of contact (POC) for the Crew regarding Surveying operations and team management. Provide backup for Crew when they are unavailable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the surveying platform with departmental needs and expectations.
- Coordinate workflows to ensure all Crew have accurate work for the week (sent prior to the start of the week).
- Booking all flights, rental cars, and hotels for their team based on travel needs.
- Ensure all bookings for crew are within company policy pricing outlined in the booking platform.
- Check in with Crew to confirm the arrival of crew, proper equipment.
- Review all expenses charged on the Company credit card and enforce all reimbursements for unauthorized purchases.
- Support crew questions regarding essential job responsibilities, payroll issues, accidents, injuries and/or PTO requests.
- Assess Crew productivity through site visits and data review to determine if additional training is necessary.
- Hands-on re-training in the office or in the field as based on training needs (in field, IKE, Ipad, Smart phone, apps and any resources required).
- Review timecard platform to ensure accurate daily punches (travel, surveying, lunch).
- Perform annual performance assessment to ensure Crew are provided feedback on productivity.
- Review employee punches on Connect team; Conduct audits on connect team (work review); compare data from IKE/iPad/Smartphone and Connect Team; pull reports as needed and/or requested.
- Complete quarterly in-field rotations to do on site visits with crew.
- Submit crew need requests to Survey Manager. Upon approval, conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for new crew members; manage the Monday Hiring Platform throughout the process.
- Contact Local Municipalities to notify of our team's arrival prior to the crews arriving at the job site.
- Immediately report to the Surveying Manager any discrepancies in schedules, team injuries, accidents, performance issues, no call no shows, safety concerns. Any business aspect that deviates from the original discussions and plans.
- Notify the Survey Training Specialist regarding any equipment issues and training concerns.
- Conduct quarterly performance assessment to ensure Crew Lead is provided feedback on productivity.
- Perform annual performance assessment to ensure Crew Lead is provided feedback on productivity.
- Work closely and maintain a positive and professional relationship with Crew, Crew Lead, Survey Training Specialist, Survey Manager and all other departments.
- Follow all Federal, State and Local laws.
Required Experience:
- 4+ years experience in a Survey Technician, OSP Field Engineer, Technician, Survey Engineer role.
- 1 year of Management experience in related fields or 3 years of Management experience.
- 1 year of Logistics experience.
- Telecommunication experience.
- Knowledge of terminology, process, deadlines, expectations, coordination of workflow, surveying.
- Driving and a valid driver's license.
