Job Summary

The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of the front desk operation and staff while ensuring guests have a luxury experience. Provides oversight of guest arrivals and departures while achieving a high level of customer service and efficiency.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure that consistent and superior customer service is provided when greeting and registering guests and that the procedures for guest check in and check out are maintained.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Ensure and model positive guest relations by anticipating guests’ needs, providing prompt acknowledgement, response, and resolution of guest complaints always, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and ensure the maintenance of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Ensure demonstrated knowledge and communicate staff awareness of:
    • hotel features/services, hours of operation.
    • room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments, and location.
    • room rates, special packages, and promotions.
    • daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
    • room availability status for any given day.
    • scheduled in-house group activities, locations, and times.
  • Attend pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
  • Establish par levels for supplies and equipment and complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business and volume.
  • Manage guest room allocations ensuring that reservations are accurately recorded and monitored to allow for optimum occupancy and revenue.
  • Monitor communication logs and ensure that guest requests are followed up within specified minutes determined by property guidelines.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required. Some college or college degree preferred. Degree in hospitality management preferred.
Experience: Two years front office experience in a luxury or full service hotel is preferred
Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills: Ability to utilize computer software and hardware required. Ability to easily maneuver on computer keyboard required.
