The Proposal Manager will lead and manage the development of proposals and describe Sandata products and services in response to requests from prospective clients. You will be responsible for the success of the entire proposal process, including facilitation of the proposal review proves, upholding compliance with Sandata's proposal process and RFP schedule. This is a remote role and reports directly to Sr. Vice President of Payer Sales.

What you do:
  • Own and manage the proposal / response delivery process, including communicating timelines, response scope, specific work assignments, and progress to schedule updates.
  • Own and maintain exhibit / documentation repository for materials used / referenced in Sandata's proposal process.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of Sandata's proposal response repository, currently using Responsive (formerly RFPIO) including updates to question response materials based on updates to Sandata's products and services.
  • Own the monitoring of market sources for updates pertaining to the release of new / scheduled proposal requests from both governmental and private organization sources.
  • Ownership of the RFP and proposal response creation processes, including developing the response timeline, engaging subject matter experts, overseeing new content creation, coordinating review/revision periods and tracking ownership of specific response activities to achieve submission success.
  • Drives the proposal process and collaborates with members of sales, marketing, finance, legal or product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, timely, and professional.
  • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating submissions and collections
  • Conducts proposal research on RFP technical/functional areas to gain better understanding of areas to be addressed and responded to
  • Ensure on-time delivery of compliant and compelling proposals
  • Recommend enhancements to Sandata's products and services based on inquiries from prospects
  • Direct experience with creating and submitting highly-customized responses to state government or large-scale Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint), including revision / version / document control methods.
  • Experience with adherence to specific RFP formatting and structural requirements- assessing their impact on the response timeline, and then management of those modifications through to final delivery.
What you bring:
  • 4+ years of experience in managing the RFP process
  • Extensive understanding of proposal processes, primarily with state and federal government clients
  • Presentation planning, layout, draft proposal content, graphics and editing
  • Highly organized, demonstrated ability to handle multiple RFPs and details simultaneously.
  • Clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with external clients and partners.
  • Effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with internal/external staff
  • Highly-organized and can prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to meet accelerated or tight deadlines
  • Superior analytical skills to respond to RFP requirements
  • Knowledge of RFP 360 is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
