Summary:

RDG's Commissary Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mixology Production Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless preparation and organization of mixology recipes for our four renowned venues: MILA, Casa Neos, Noora, and Claudie. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixology, quality control, and team leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recipe Preparation and Organization:
  • Prepare and organize mixology recipes for MILA, Casa Neos, Noora, and Claudie, ensuring that each venue's unique style and standards are maintained.
  • Maintain detailed records of all recipes, including ingredients, measurements, and preparation techniques.
  • Regularly update recipes to reflect seasonal changes, new trends, and customer feedback.
• Quality Control:
  • Perform rigorous quality control checks on all mixology recipes to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Conduct taste tests and visual inspections to ensure that all drinks meet the high standards expected by our venues.
  • Identify and rectify any deviations from the standard recipes promptly.
• Training and Oversight:
  • Train and oversee the work of other bar prep staff, providing clear instructions and constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of the bar prep team.
  • Monitor the performance of bar prep staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and operational procedures.
• Ice Quality and Production:
  • Oversee the production and quality of ice used in our cocktails, ensuring it meets specific standards for size, clarity, and purity.
  • Implement best practices for ice handling and storage to maintain its quality and safety.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all Department of Health regulations, ensuring that the commissary kitchen meets or exceeds health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of health and safety practices, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Ensure that all staff are trained in and adhere to proper sanitation and safety procedures.
• Operational Efficiency:
  • Manage inventory levels for all ingredients and supplies, ensuring that the commissary kitchen is well-stocked and organized.
  • Collaborate with purchasing managers to source high-quality ingredients at the best prices.
  • Optimize kitchen workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Innovation and Creativity:
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in mixology and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Experiment with new ingredients, techniques, and equipment to create unique and memorable cocktails.
  • Collaborate with venue managers to develop special drink menus for events and promotions

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 3+ years in a prep mixology role, with experience in back of the house recipe execution
• Proven experience in a bar prep or mixology role, with a strong understanding of cocktail preparation and presentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
• Leadership experience with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of Department of Health regulations and safety requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Passion for mixology and a creative approach to developing new cocktail recipes

Physical Demands And Work Environment:

1. Standing and Walking:
   • The role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as the Mixology Production Specialist will be actively involved in preparing and organizing mixology recipes and overseeing other bar prep staff.
2. Lifting and Carrying:
   • The position involves lifting and carrying supplies, ingredients, and equipment, which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
3. Manual Dexterity:
   • The role requires excellent manual dexterity to handle small tools, instruments, and delicate ingredients precisely.
4. Reaching and Bending:
   • The job requires frequent reaching, bending, and stooping to access ingredients and equipment, as well as to clean and maintain the work area.
5. Tasting and Smelling:
   • The Mixology Production Specialist must have the ability to taste and smell to ensure the quality and consistency of the prepared cocktails.

   • The role requires good visual acuity to read recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and ensure the proper presentation of drinks.
