Summary

We are looking for a person who is passionate about working with children, has strong classroom management skills and is willing to work as a partner with our current preschool teacher.

Duties

Our school embraces emergent curriculum and free play to engage the children in developmentally appropriate activities. This requires observing and listening to the children to discover what they are interested in and developing invitations to explore those interests. We have great respect for children as competent individuals and focus on helping them to develop their social emotional skills. We believe strongly in outdoor time as beneficial to children of all ages and spend many hours a day outside regardless of the weather.

Requirements

Requirements include a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
Help children with bathrooming
Assist with dressing and outdoor gear
Flexibility

18 hours of Early Childhood Education credits are preferred but we are willing to train and provide further education to a person who has the passion and desire to learn about and work in this field.
