Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking someone interested in a Trade Accountant job. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions related to trading activities, including reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.

Trade Accountant Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of Risk/Trading system profit and loss to the general ledger.
  • Prepare and book journal entries impacting the gross margin; identify and reconcile discrepancies that affect the gross margin.
  • Analyze, ensure accuracy, and prepare reconciliation of trade accruals, inventory, and other accounts.
  • Understand and report profit and loss and mark-to-market attributes and movements.
  • Assist in managing the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting to external and internal parties under IFRS and of annual and quarterly global reports.
  • Field and respond to inquiries from management, traders, and external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in commodity accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to use modern, multi-currency accounting software packages.
  • Must be available to work on-site 5 days a week.
