DEVELOPMENT MANAGER: Reporting to the Community Relations Director, the Development Manager plays a key role in organizational planning, fundraising initiatives, and representing Selfless Love Foundation at community engagements and special events.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  
  • 2-5 years of non-profit experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Blackbaud/GiveSmart or similar fundraising software preferred.
  • Hybrid position: 50% remote, 50% office-based in Jupiter, FL.
  • Up to 25% local travel around South Florida.
  • Reside in Palm Beach County, FL, with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a level 2 background check

  • Exceptional people and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and customer relations.
  • Comfortable lifting 25 lbs.
  • Effective communicator (written, verbal, and non-verbal) with presentation skills.
  • Experienced in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Resourceful in prioritization and proposing efficiencies.
  • Technologically savvy with a knack for implementing new processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising & Representation:

  • Support planning and execution of third-party events, including display and merchandise opportunities, and attend events to assist in set up and implementation.
  • Represent the Foundation at external events, clubs, and other engagements.
  • Attend program events on behalf of the development team as required.

 

Committee & Gala Support:

  • Assist Community Relations Director with fundraising committees and manage communication with the Selfless Committee to track fundraising commitments.
  • Oversee in-kind collection process and support auction item acquisition via GiveSmart.
  • Support department efforts as needed to achieve fundraising goals for the gala.


Development of Donor Stewardship & Support:

  • Collaborate with Senior Development Director to maintain GuideStar, Charity Navigator, and Great Nonprofits profiles.
  • Establish, maintain, and track gift standards based on donor giving levels.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as mailing tax acknowledgments, annual reports, and other materials.

 

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Flexibility to adapt to responsibilities based on organizational needs.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
