Senior Account Manager

Founded in 2018, Mako Professionals has significantly expanded its staff and infrastructure organically. We are actively seeking talented individuals to join our growing Business Development team. As a Senior Account Manager at Mako, you will build relationships with IT leaders nationwide who can benefit from our extensive network of industry-leading consultants. In the $35 billion IT contract staffing industry, our Account Managers are the customer-facing representatives of Mako Professionals.
Role Summary: Joining Mako at a senior level, a new Senior Account Manager will spend their days building relationships with IT leaders across the country, helping them leverage Mako's extensive network of industry-leading consultants. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to grow with a small but rapidly expanding company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with hiring managers in target industries, connecting them with Mako’s network of senior and niche IT consultants through cold calling, networking, and other forms of prospecting. This is an inside, outbound sales role, with successful account managers dedicating most of their time to phone prospecting.
- Participate in advanced training sessions to deepen expertise in Enterprise Technology staffing.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of IT Managers, Directors, and VPs with identified or potential job openings and project skill gaps.
- Stay updated with existing managers and their current needs.
- Meet or exceed sales and production goals and objectives as set by management.
- Be reachable and available to your current customers, resolving any issues promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years of account management experience in staffing (IT staffing is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Effective prospecting and networking skills.
- Knowledge of the IT industry is a plus but not required.
Experience:
- Previous sales or account management experience in the staffing industry is required.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
Performance Metrics:
- Success will be measured by the ability to meet or exceed sales targets and maintain strong client relationships.
Team Structure:
- This role works independently but collaborates closely with the recruitment, and business development team.
- Reports to the Sales Manager.
Location and Work Environment:
- This position is based onsite in Jupiter, Florida, with a hybrid work schedule.
