SUMMARY:  

As a Distributor Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for managing the overall sales and relationship management activities for existing and prospective customers within your assigned territory.  

You will also be responsible for achieving set weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual territory performance goals by acquiring new customers and by increasing sales to existing customers. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

            Day to Day sales calls to existing and new customers.  

  • Identifying, researching, and cold calling prospective customers within your territory 

  • Sales presentations to customers on new, or new to them, items.   

  • Assisting customers with industry trends, product questions, market updates, and menu/recipe ideas.  

  • Daily territory review focusing on territory sales performance information. 

  • Answer all Customer questions in a precise timely fashion through a multitude of mediums- phone calls, text messages, emails, etc….  

  • Management of all account receivables within assigned Territory. 

  • Participation in general sales meetings and regional sales meetings. 

  • Work with the various departments at Feeser’s (Transportation, Purchasing, Warehouse and 

  • Accounting) to resolve Customer(s) issues. 

  • Participation in training seminars, Manufacturer Tours, and Food Shows. 

  • Working with Brokers and Manufacturer Reps by selling specific new items to Customers in 

  • assigned Territory. 

  • Perform administrative duties, such as processing credits and pick up requests. 

  • Contacting all appropriate customers and completing all required paperwork within 24 hours on a  

  • Manufacturer Recall. 

  • Maintaining up-to-date sales call records, New Customer Listing, and daily schedule call list in our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)  

  • Completing and returning all required paperwork within the time parameters Management has requested. 

  • This position may require working some non-traditional hours (evening, weekends, and holidays) to successfully meet customers' needs 

  • Manage all customer pricing in alignment with company objectives  

  • Establish professional vendor relationships with brokers and manufacturers representatives 

  • Understanding and monitoring performance against all KPI’s- proactively asking for support in areas of deficit 

SKILLS REQUIRED: 

Excellent oral and written communication skills 

Outstanding organizational skills - able to prioritize numerous tasks 

Must enjoy working with people 

Must be able to adapt quickly and problem solve 

Ability to operate independently with a focus on achieving defined goals  

Must have Computer Skills and be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Products. (Excel, Windows, etc.) 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

High School Diploma or Equivalent. 

Food Service Sales or Culinary Background is preferred. 

Valid Drivers License with no prior moving violations for the past three years.
