Supervisory Armed Guard

Position Summary:
Weatherspoon Security is seeking a highly professional and qualified Armed Security Supervisor(s) to oversee and ensure the safety and security of our clients and their premises in Cumberland County. As an Armed Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of armed security officers, maintaining a secure environment, deterring criminal activity, and responding to potential security incidents. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and adherence to strict security protocols will play a critical role in protecting our clients' assets and ensuring the well-being of the workforce, customers and facilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the security team, ensuring all officers adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Security Patrol: Conduct and supervise regular patrols of designated areas to deter criminal activity and enforce security procedures.
- Threat Assessment: Identify potential security risks and ensure timely reporting and appropriate action.
- Access Control: Monitor access points, oversee credential checks, and enforce proper entry procedures to restricted areas.
- Armed Response: Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
- Firearms Handling: Ensure all team members demonstrate proficiency and adherence to firearm safety protocols while carrying, securing and using weapons.
- Safety Measures: Implement and enforce safety measures to prevent accidents, injury, or harm to individuals on the premises.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services, providing crucial support and information during crises.
- Surveillance Coordination: Oversee the use of surveillance systems to monitor premises and identify potential security breaches.
- Incident Documentation: Prepare and review accurate and detailed incident reports, ensuring all information is properly documented.
- Customer Service: Maintain excellent customer service while interacting with clients, visitors, and employees.
- Training and Development: Conduct and participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge and skills in security procedures and firearm handling.
- Scheduling and working with management to optimize work plans
- Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local laws regarding security practices, firearm regulations, and safety protocols.
Pay Rate:
The starting pay rate for this supervisory position is $19.85 per hour, with potential for growth and advancement based on performance and experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Age Requirement: Minimum age of 21 years old.
- U.S. Citizenship or Legal Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with appropriate work authorization.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Criminal Background Check: Must undergo a comprehensive background check.
- Armed Security Training: Completion of state-approved training mandatory.
