As the Vice President of Business Development (VP of BD) you will have the opportunity to research, analyze and present business opportunities for the future direction and growth of the business group. You will develop and implement planning and strategy for new business development, lead growth for the existing customer base, and serve as a strategic advisor for senior leadership. The successful candidate will be innovative and can perceive business opportunities and work closely with company management in developing and executing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities.

Requirements -

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business or similar
  • Experience delivering projects to owners in the Commercial, Municipal, Mixed-use, or Hospitality & Gaming sectors valued over $500M
  • 10 or more years of Business Development experience in the AEC industry within California and/or Nevada

What You’ll Do -

  • Develop, prepare, and implement short- and long-term business development plans ensuring they conform to corporate objectives
  • Qualify potential opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure that opportunities are pursued in a timely way and that sales expectations are met
  • Develop trusting relationships with Clients and their key decision makers
  • Continuously evaluate target market sectors to stay up to date on trends and be informed of opportunities prior to becoming public knowledge in California and Nevada
  • Supervise marketing team during preparation of qualifications, proposals and presentations, providing key client insight and strategy and ensuring a high quality, complete product
