Position Overview: We are in search of a seasoned Business Development Program Manager with extensive program management expertise and a successful history in the sales of electrical components to the aerospace and defense sectors. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in managing sales operations, formulating strategic sales plans, and steering our sales team towards surpassing sales goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute detailed sales strategies to achieve or surpass sales objectives in the aerospace and defense market.
  • Oversee sales operations, ensuring strea
    mlined processes and effective team communication.
  • Spearhead program management efforts, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables for major accounts.
  • Build and maintain robust customer relationships, delivering solutions that cater to their specific needs.
  • Engage in basic technical discussions with Customers and other industry professionals
  • Identify opportunities and deploy best practice business capture techniques to support business growth
  • Work with GM and Sales Team on pricing and territory strategies
  • Work closely with various departments, such as engineering, product development, and marketing, to synchronize sales strategies with broader company goals and provide support on market development.
  • Work with Operations and Engineering personnel to ensure development and completion of sample parts or other information required by Customers in pursuit of new business.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor actions to uncover opportunities for expansion and enhancement.
  • Mentor and support the sales team, promoting an environment of ongoing learning and growth.
  • Generate and present detailed sales reports and projections to upper management, spotlighting successes and potential areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and attend key tradeshows, including preparation of collateral, displays, and other information as well as nurture leads afterward to expose new business opportunities
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is highly regarded.
  • Answering Customer inquiries
  • Display tenacity and grit in driving initial opportunities to sample testing and ultimately to PO bookings
  • Takes initiative to acquire information and resolve issues in product acceptance at the Customer
  • Be relentlessly curious in gathering data to seek out opportunities, applications and Customer contacts
  • Exhibit a hunger to win and drive opportunities to closure
  • Work with adynamic team in collaborative environment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Proven track record in selling electrical components and managing intricate sales processes.
  • Robust program management abilities with a knack for handling and executing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill business requirements.
