BAR GENERAL MANAGER
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic GM who can lead our team in providing outstanding customer service. Candidates MUST have bar management experience and an extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine and beer. In addition to the duties listed below the bar manager must be able to act as a floor manager and support bartender on Fridays and Saturdays (2 shifts/week). The ideal candidate should also be able to seamlessly integrate into our current team after five days of training, learning our recipes, and methods of operations.
Main Job Duties
- Responsible for managing all aspects of Curio's operations including development and performance of all team members, menu development, optimizing profits, and increasing sales
- Lead our bartender team in providing an excellent experience for our customers
- Admin duties including but not limited to: inventory, ordering, receiving, schedule, menu building, pos maintenance/updates, supplier communication and payroll
- Manage all areas of operations including marketing and human resources, while ensuring Curio's standards of quality, service and operations are maintained
- Work with beverage director and lead bartender to develop new menus and implement rollout and execution of menu change, including: costing, sourcing of ingredients, POS programming, and staff education.
- Manage operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- Frequently interact with guests and follow up on any issues or complaints they may have
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of staffing needs
- Staff Development: train and develop team Members through ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis
- Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunities
- Perform liquor, wine, and beer check in to ensure proper invoicing
- Manage inventory efficiently, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner
- Foster open communication
Bartender Job Duties
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and food vendor patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Complete Opening/Closing/shift duties as assigned
- Change kegs
- Maintain a clean bar and community area
- Must be able to lift 50+lbs regularly without assistance

Time Expectations & Compensation:
Up to 45 hours a week on site in addition to up to 5 hours a week remote. This is a salaried position, compensation is 75K/year and bonus potential of up to $10K/year.
