Position Summary:

The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in managing and scaling sales department operations across all five subsidiary companies of Foundation Software, LLC. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the efficiency of the sales department. Additionally, the manager will oversee business-critical software and programs related to contracts and commissions, ensuring compliance with ethical and secure practices.

Position Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of sales operations staff.
  • Onboard and train new employees regarding Sales SOPs.
  • Educate sales and sales operations staff on all SOP changes.
  • Partner with product, implementation, accounting, marketing, and lead generation teams.

SOP Management:

  • Own, maintain, and document all sales department Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (finance, customer success) to ensure procedures are user-friendly and compatible.
  • Manage and maintain the internal employee commission program.
  • Direct and train sales teams on processes for negotiating, quoting, contracting, and submitting commission, according to company standards and legal compliance.

Software Administration:

  • Manage and maintain Foundation Software's sales commission software (Captivate IQ) and function as the company Administrator.
  • Manage internal sales Excel models.
  • Manage and maintain contract and quoting setup, and function as the company Administrator for contract generation and e-signature software (PandaDoc).
  • Manage and maintain product price books in Foundation Software's client relationship management software (Salesforce).

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Update and develop sales pipeline reporting and other reports for sales directors and executives.
  • Create, update, and review weekly and monthly presentations for the board of directors.
  • Lead weekly/biweekly forecasting calls to drive dashboard alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and secure practices with client data.
  • Design reporting on market level attainment to develop strategies for sales productivity improvement.

Liaison and Problem-Solving:

  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team and sales management/executive team.
  • Assess and analyze business requirements.
  • Problem-solve and develop efficient solutions.

Position Requirements:

Analytical and Auditing Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience structuring, tracking, and improving sales metrics.
  • Strong data auditing skills (significant data audit experience preferred).
  • Intermediate+ logic and math skills for data analysis.

Interpersonal and Management Skills:

  • Ability to build rapport quickly with staff in various teams and roles.
  • Ability to manage change among a large sales team.

Technical and Industry Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or revenue operations required.
  • Prior experience with CRM software required (Salesforce preferred).
  • Prior experience with sales commissions software preferred (Captivate IQ experience ideal).
  • Prior experience with e-signature software preferred (PandaDoc experience ideal).
  • Prior change management experience preferred.
  • Prior team lead experience or experience managing a team preferred.
