Your Job:

The Allied (Racking) Driver/Warehouse Backup will be responsible for making deliveries and pick up of racking as needed.  Be able to back up warehouse duties.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Job requirements may include the following where applicable:

  • Make deliveries or pick-up racking as needed
  • Pulling racking for customer orders as needed
  • Assist warehouse/delivery driver when receiving incoming freight, checking for accuracy of Allied quantities
  • Organize and put away incoming racking, etc away
  • Keep warehouse clean and neat
  • Perform other duties as requested


Required Skills /Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physician and get Medical Examiners Card
  • Have a good driving record and valid drives license
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities in a changing environment. (required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, vendors and customers. (required)
  • Prior experience in customer service, material handling/industrial equipment environment, and shipping/receiving experience (preferred)
  • Ability to operate manual pallet jack & pass forklift certification
  • Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team player
  • Be courteous and thoughtful of other drivers
  • Maintain a good attendance record

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Allied (Racking) Driver/Warehouse Backup to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require sitting or standing for long periods of time, working in front of the computer, physically lifting and moving up to 75 lbs. (on occasion), walk on concrete floors with the ability to use full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, and reaching.
