Position Overview: This Accounts Receivable position primarily coordinates and monitors collections on accounts beyond 30 days past due, including the facilitation of pre-lien and lien notices and repossessions. The secondary focus of this position is to assist the accounting team where support is necessary.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Primary contact for collection of past due accounts
  • Process Pre-Lien Notices and Lien Notices in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to facilitate repossessions and drive-by investigations.
  • Maintain a great rapport with our customer base and provide outstanding customer service – this is extremely important to us
  • Maintain comprehensive customer notes including all communications, any actions taken on account, management decisions and resolutions.
  • Primary Billing Contact
  • Payment processing
  • Answering Multi-Line Phone
  • Exhausting all methods of customer contact, including investigative research to acquire additional methods of contact.
  • Provide recommendation to management for course of action on customer accounts.
  • Perform filing, general administrative tasks, and reception duties as needed.
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and data.
  • Scan and attach supporting documentation into accounting software.
  • Maintain database integrity with accurate entries and thorough cross-referencing.
  • Assist accounting departments where need arises, including but not limited to:
    • Process accounts payable, inventory, etc.
    • Daily Billing
    • Apply Customer Payments
    • Credit Applications
    • Research and solve payment discrepancies.
    • Inventory
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Daily Deposits (Checks, ACH/Wires, cash)
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.


Supervision Received: The position is supervised by the Senior Accountant.
Supervision Exercised: N/A.

 


Qualifications & Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (unless board exempt) This position requires a High School Degree.  A minimum of one (1) year experience in accounting is required.

MINIMUM TECHICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Organized, good time management skills, able to handle multiple projects, positive attitude even under stress, strong Excel skills, Driver’s License, and ability to pass a background check.


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The preferred level of education is an Associate’s Degree or higher in either business, accounting, finance or tax. The preferred level of experience is two (2) years’ experience in accounting.

Pay Range: $21-23/hr, DOE (Depends on Experience)
