The NSM will work closely with the CEO to refine and execute sales strategies that align with company goals. This role involves developing a high-performing sales team, managing client relationships, and spearheading individual sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership and be passionate about expanding business in the healthcare sector.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed company objectives.
- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and inspire a team of sales representatives to reach their full potential.
- Sales Execution: Personally engage in sales, from prospect identification to closing deals.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor activities.
- Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop effective sales strategies and promotional materials.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Networking: Attend industry events and conferences to generate leads and expand business relationships.
Requirements
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Proven experience as a medical Sales Manager or similar role, with a history of achieving sales targets.
- Toxicology, pain management or substance use treatment sales/management experience is preferred.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of motivating and mentoring a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Must reside in Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida or Arizona.
- Other states may be considered based on the candidate's ability to bring in new business.
