AAA Fire, a Pye-Barker company, is hiring a Fire Extinguisher Technician to support our Layton, UT branch.

Position Summary: TheFire Extinguisher Technician will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on various types of fire extinguishers. This position will involve being in our warehouse 90% of the time working with basic hand tools and low pressure recharging systems. We will provide on-site training to the ideal candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performing extinguisher services
  • Testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards
  • Provide troubleshooting and repairs of fire protection and suppression equipment
  • Keeping accurate records and reports
  • Interface with customers on a walk-in basis
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management Departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to obtain state certification for fire extinguisher service required
  • Willingness to learn and obtain traning within industry
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience
  • Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Time Management Skills
  • Must read and speak English
