Family Health Care is seeking applicants for the multi-functional role of Medical Office Assistant/Referrals/HIS
We are looking for someone with great customer service skills to be the first point of contact for all patients and visitors who come into our health center. This position is responsible for helping to organize and facilitate effective patient flow while ensuring each person has a positive experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Always protects the confidentiality and access to patient health information.
Demonstrates care and accuracy when handling patient health information.
Daily demonstration of courtesy and consideration with patients, providers and co-workers.
Answers incoming phone calls.
Accurately performs all required procedures for processing release of information requests.
Performs other duties deemed necessary and assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to pay attention to detail. Experience in clinical record management is desired. Must be flexible and a team player.
Location: Big Rapids, MI
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
