Position Title: Commercial Lending Specialist

Reports To: Regional President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer

General Purpose:

The Commercial Lending Specialist collaborates with senior leadership, department heads, loan officers, and branch personnel to enhance business opportunities for the bank across various sectors. The primary emphasis is on originating and managing commercial loans while also fostering growth in all business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with existing clients to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities within the current customer base, aiming to deepen connections and obtain referrals.
  • Approaching potential clients to establish new banking relationships, with the objective of expanding the customer portfolio across all service lines.
  • Participating in community events and civic organizations to serve as a representative of the bank and to actively engage in the communities served.
  • Gathering all necessary financial information to assess loan applications and terms within personal lending authority, collaborating with other lenders for larger credit decisions.
  • Assisting clients in the loan closing process as required.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Experience in commercial lending and/or credit analysis is preferred.
  • Prior experience in banking or financial services is essential.
  • Strong community engagement or residency in the served market is advantageous.
Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Innovative and creative approach to problem-solving.
