About Us:

National Taxpayers Union (NTU) and National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) are leading non-profit organizations dedicated to advocating for lower taxes, limited government, and fiscal responsibility. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Development Coordinator. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our mission by ensuring the efficient entry of donor information into our donor database as well as generating TKUs, assisting with managing donor relations, and researching potential contributors. The Coordinator may also interact with our direct mail and online fundraising vendors. 

Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter and maintain donor information, contributions, and interactions in the database and generate TKUs to donors.
  • Donor Research: Conduct in-depth research on existing donors and potential prospects to gain insights into their preferences, interests, and philanthropic history.
  • Donor Meetings: Schedule and coordinate donor meetings, ensuring the availability of key stakeholders, and creating detailed itineraries to facilitate productive discussions.
  • Task Management: Organize and prioritize tasks related to donor relations, ensuring deadlines are met, and tracking progress.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update the donor database with accurate and up-to-date information, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Donor Communication: Assist in crafting and sending personalized communications to donors, acknowledging contributions, and expressing gratitude for their support.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and summaries on donor engagement, contributions, and prospect research to aid in decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • One to three years of work experience, preferably in a role involving administrative tasks and donor relations.
  • Proficiency in database management, with experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in and commitment to the mission and values of the National Taxpayers Union and National Taxpayers Union Foundation.

Work Schedule:
The National Taxpayers Union and National Taxpayers Union Foundation operate on a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote work in our Washington, D.C. office. The specific schedule will be determined in collaboration with your supervisor to ensure both productivity and flexibility.
