Position Overview: The Regional Quality Manager provides complete leadership for the Quality Teams while monitoring, implementing, and maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 Quality System for all four Production Sites in North America.

Essential Functions:

  • Coach Quality Teams at all sites and support all activities covered under the ISO9001:2015 System, strongly emphasizing the development of all sites to continually improve audit readiness and understanding.
  • Management Liaison for ISO 9001:2015 all sites
  • Maintain all Documentation, Retention, and Organization
  • ISO: monitoring inputs & outputs, maintaining the management system to the ISO 9001:2015 requirements or above, assisting with internal/external audits, and the improvement of the internal audit system
  • Develop and maintain quality standards
  • Monitor Quality throughout the injection mold plant, working with Shift Leaders and Quality to eliminate issues.
  • Test new materials
  • Assist with the evaluation and correction of warranty issues
  • Improvements: analyze quality problems related to internal or external issues and use problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis, leading to proactive measures by implementing corrective actions. Also, implement continuous improvement programs and plans to eliminate the cause of quality non-conformances, reducing risks
  • Suppliers: work with purchasing and members of the supply chain to ensure the Quality of the raw materials, accessories, components, and sub-assemblies meet the company’s quality standards. The quality manager will work on standards with suppliers, implement inspection processes, and monitor incoming inspection, inputs/outputs
  • The Regional Quality Manager, with the Material Manager and other departments, will monitor the supplier’s quality and delivery performance and issue supplier evaluations regularly, based on Quality & delivery, performance Including the monitoring of corrective actions with follow-up
  • Customer focus: Provide guidance and tools to ensure that the products and services provided meet customer requirements. The Regional quality manager monitors feedback from internal and external customers to identify any quality trends affecting the customer. Also, work as a liaison with customers to resolve any issues, including visits to the customer location, and follow up with any corrective actions.
  • Work with the quality departments to review and improve the quality plans and assist in reducing risks by implementing continuous improvement plans.
  • Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques as required
  • Lead problem-solving/corrective action teams at other plants as needed
  • Lead efforts with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to develop workflow and procedures/processes for new products
  • Utilization of tools such as Design FMEAs, Process FMEAs, and control plans as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 3 to 5 minimum years of Quality Manager experience, plastics manufacturing environment preferred, leading a multi-functional Team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Statistical Process Control software
  • Must have good people skills/team player (ability to sell ideas and create teamwork)
  • Ability to travel to suppliers or customer locations as needed – approx. 20% of the time
  • Reliable, trustworthy
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
