Job DescriptionJob Description

Primary Purpose: This position requires a hands-on IT professional experienced in providing the full range of small business IT support. This includes user support, network administration, MS365 platform resources and VoIP administration. This crucial role is designed to keep IT operations running effectively in a business with multiple locations in the Capital District and Queensbury, NY. It encompasses all aspects of IT systems management, maintenance, installation, development and troubleshooting, while assisting users with day-today computer issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to users requests for PC support, software troubleshooting, password resets, printer configurations and provide break/fix instructions.
  2. Configure and install PCs.
  3. Administer MS365 (Entra / Azure, Admin Center, Defender portal, SharePoint, etc.) suite of products, controls and features to provide a contemporary and effective business network.
  4. Contact established 3rd party service partners for support and maintenance when needed.
  5. Analyze user issues and provide timely solutions.
  6. Handle first pass on hardwear repair at the A+ cert level when practical or coordinating depot repair services as needed.
  7. Research and implement solutions for new issues or functionality as requested by management.
  8. Configuration, maintenance and administration of application & file servers, network devices, cyber security and infrastructure.
  9. Manage and maintain new and former user account IT profiles.
  10. Support and manage cloud services, Web apps, VPN and Security camera systems.
  11. Maintain appropriate IT hardware & software on-hand inventory and availability.
  12. Manages software purchases and licenses.
  13. Works closely with CEO, COO, Operations, Finance and Human Resources.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or Network Administration or equivalent advanced IT certifications.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel between sites as needed.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar position demonstrating a progression of responsibilities.
  • Team leadership and project management experience is required.

Job Type & Pay: Full-time; $35.00-$45.00 per hour
