Description Summary: Junior Project Manager
Location: Dayton, OH

Responsibilities:
A Junior Project Manager assists in the planning, execution, and delivery of time and cost sensitive projects in a multi-disciplinary, team-based environment to provide customer-focused engineering consulting services. The successful candidate for this position must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with industrial customers to provide cost-effective solutions to their engineering needs. This includes but is not limited to working with and learning from a project manager. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
- Coordinate with project manager and other team members on projects from conceptual design through construction and startup
- Assist with developing and maintaining project activities, schedules, and budgets for projects
- Generate project reports for internal and client review, highlighting key milestones, issues, and solutions
- Coordinate with outside consultants, vendors and other 3rd parties as needed
- Assist in budget tracking and cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with client, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders
- Contribute ideas and insights to enhance project management methodologies
- Perform other project and supervisory duties as assigned
Required Education & Skills:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Engineering, basic sciences or business-related disciplines
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of MS Project or other scheduling software
- Co-op/Internship or work experience in an industrial manufacturing facility
- Successful completion of a drug and background screen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Management or an MBA
- Project Management Education or Certification
- Construction Management Education or Certification
- Passed NCEES Fundamentals in Engineering (F.E.) exam
- Familiarity with Food/Drug manufacturing
- Knowledge of Piping, conveyors, boilers & heat processes, pumps, tanks, foundations, separators etc.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
