RentACoop LLC is a rapidly growing family operated business which includes both a Warehouse in Frederick, MD and a Farm in Germantown, MD. The two focuses of our business are education and product creation for poultry and other small animals. The product development division designs, manufactures and distributes products for poultry and small household pets. The RentACoop flock, while small, is packed with a variety of diverse and fun individuals who all share a passion for animals and their care. The flock's creative teamwork and continuous communication pushes our product development and the content of our educational resources to be a cut above competitors.
This dynamic role is suited best for a highly organized individual who enjoys a fast paced environment that allows for continued growth both within this position and the company. The position of a Part-Time Administrative Assistant involves troubleshooting, thinking outside the box, engaging with staff across departments and an eye for details. This role is based at our Warehouse in Frederick but there may be opportunities to work remote occasionally.
Administrative Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
- Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the external production process
- Maintain a cross-functional calendar with light analysis around initiatives and their impact on the business
- Prepare agenda and organize meetings with key business stakeholder groups
- Participate in all production, creative and management meetings by taking notes and identifying actions. Send notes to stakeholders and follow-up on actions
- Engaging with staff, vendors and customers in a kind manner through answering emails and phone calls while representing the company
- Developing an extensive understanding and knowledge of our vast range of products and services along with their capabilities for a wide variety of different situations.
- Contributions and helps facilitate current projects by assisting management team
- Utilizing our communication channels to work well with other departments and team members
- Helping with general office tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Minimal Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in administrative business, production, or clerical role
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Clear and concise communicator with both verbal and written communication
- Ability to synthesize conversation into notes and actions
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to proactively find ways to improve internal processes
- In depth aptitude of Office 365 and it's supporting programs
Additional Qualifications:
- Organized self-starter
- The ability and willingness to learn about the company, its products, and a genuine interest in our contribution to the education and care of poultry and small animals.
Hours and Schedule:
We currently have one flexible part time position open at the warehouse. Our company's operational hours are the following though this position would have an agreed upon schedule:
Monday-Friday 8AM-7PM
Saturday 9AM-1PM
Part time employees receive up to 80 hours of paid time off annually, discount on products, flexible schedule and other great perks.
Full time employees receive 80 hours of paid time off annually, 7 paid holidays, short-term disability, long- term disability along with medical, dental and vision benefits.
