Job DescriptionJob Description

Town Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Posting Clerk to join our Accounting team. The Posting Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring payments are appropriately recorded, and supporting the overall efficiency of the department. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to handle high volumes of transactions with accuracy. Posting clerks are responsible for the day-to-day processing and management of all Town Auto Group car deal activities in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Post vehicle sales and purchases.
  • Post lender funding.
  • Post all dealer trade transactions.
  • Process all dealer trade paperwork.
  • Post all wholesale transactions.
  • Maintain stock numbers for new & used vehicles.
  • Reconcile customer accounts.
  • Maintain and audit accounting schedules.
  • Assist and support other office positions as needed.
  • Assist with answering and routing phone calls.
  • Stay current on all software training.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
  • Contribute to, and encourage others, to demonstrate a team focused, values based, service culture throughout the company.
  • Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clerical processing
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and database software
  • Ability to work a set schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed related to monthly processing duties
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
