Scope

Boise Cascade is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist who will play a key role in refining our recruiting process development and standardization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our recruitment strategies and ensuring seamless interactions with external recruiting vendors as well as internal stakeholders. This position will involve building efficient recruiting processes, generating best in class job descriptions, candidate success profiles, and supporting the overall talent acquisition efforts from within the Corporate Talent Team.

Responsibilities

Recruiting Support:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the company.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods such as job boards, social media, and networking to identify potential candidates for identified roles
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and provide reports to senior management on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Recruiting Process Development:

  • Design and implement standardized recruiting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with HR, hiring managers, and other internal stakeholders to align recruiting efforts with organizational goals.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruiting activities and vendor performance.
  • Facilitate communication between candidates, hiring managers, and vendors to ensure a positive recruitment experience.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in talent acquisition, or HR coordination.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other HR software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Certification in HR or recruiting (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
