Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our team in deploying an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capability for a zero-trust solution. You will play a critical role in developing, deploying, and maintaining the networking components that enable this cutting-edge AI capability. Our next-generation cybersecurity platform leverages AI to provide comprehensive protection against sophisticated cyber threats. This solution employs zero-trust principles to ensure the highest levels of security, offering real-time threat detection, automated responses, and robust data protection. 

As part of our team, you'll be contributing to the development and deployment of this cutting-edge technology, helping to safeguard critical infrastructures and sensitive information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network engineering, automation, and DevOps methodologies. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving automation and innovation within our team, ensuring the highest standards of security and performance.

Qualifications

Automation Development:

  • Develop and manage sophisticated automation solutions for network technologies, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

  • Design and implement automated test suites and frameworks to ensure the robustness of network automation.

  • Integrate network function provisioning (e.g., DNS, DHCP) into software engineering pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability.

  • Develop CI/CD automation frameworks to streamline network operations, reducing manual intervention and increasing deployment speed.

  • Generate scripts for automating the deployment of our AI-solution cloud offering on customer infrastructure

Network Design and Implementation:

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain resilient and scalable network systems to support AI capabilities.

  • Configure, implement, and rigorously test a variety of network platforms to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Provision and deploy network devices, ensuring precise configuration, auditing, and compliance with security standards.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering) to seamlessly integrate network infrastructure provisioning into deployment pipelines.

  • Mentor and guide junior network engineers on advanced automation techniques, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document system architecture, design changes, and implementation plans, providing clear communication to stakeholders.

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for automated processes and workflows, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing across the team.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in network engineering and automation, with a proven track record of delivering complex network solutions.

  • Extensive experience with:

    • DevOps deployments, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

    • Designing, implementing, and managing Software Defined Networks (SDN) technologies such as Open SDN, Blue Planet, and NorthStar.

    • Network security products including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and advanced threat protection.

    • Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls and Cisco ASAs, including configuration, deployment, and management.

    • Implementing and managing network security policies and access control measures.

    • Zero-Trust concepts and implementing solutions that comply with this framework.

    • Production-level cloud deployments for multiple cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with:

    • Python for network automation and scripting.

    • Automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).

    • Network modeling and configuration protocols such as YANG and NETCONF.

    • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies.

    • Virtualization and cloud networking technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, AWS VPC, Azure VNets).

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) for network performance and security analysis.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their networking components.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIS, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Security clearance eligible, with an active security clearance preferred but not required.
