You will exercise considerable independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the optimal approach for executing tasks and achieving goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops, designs, and implements automated testing solutions to guarantee product excellence.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in Python and test automation, offering mentorship and support to fellow team members.
  • Evaluates design specifications to determine necessary test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities based on overarching objectives and a deep understanding of the product or solution architecture.
  • Engages and communicates with management, internal teams, and external development partners regarding testing status, project advancements, and issue resolution.
  • Conducts investigations and root cause analyses for product discrepancies.
  • Collaborates closely with the Software Development team to identify and rectify defects and issues.
  • Actively participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, grooming, and planning sessions.
  • Provides constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Contributes insights for technical evaluations of programming languages, systems, and computational software.
  • Utilizes automated testing to debug software products, developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company offerings.
  • Analyzes and reviews logs and network traces for quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of practical experience in Python-based test automation.
  • Proficient in Python with a focus on Automation and Performance testing.
  • Experience in Android App Test Automation.
  • Familiarity with APIs, automation tools, IDEs, and languages that support software testing.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Comprehensive understanding of testing life cycles, including planning, design, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working on projects utilizing Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
  • Professional experience with task/content/defect/test case management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Unified Communications, Telecommunications, or related sectors.
  • Experience in system validation involving video products, applications, peripherals, and hybrid work solutions.
  • Professional experience in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of Docker containers or other virtual machine environments.
  • Familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, or other video conferencing solutions.
  • Basic understanding of call control protocols such as SIP/H.323.
  • Fundamental networking knowledge, including hubs, switches, routers, TCP/IP, certificate management, IP routing, firewalls, and DNS.
