TITLE: Employment Recruiter
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Full time, 40 hours/week; Exempt

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate five (5) quality placements per quarter (Jul-Sept; Oct-Dec; Jan-Mar; Apr-Jun).
  • Market and develop community relationships to promote employment and inclusion of individuals served.
  • Develop one (1) new community site to be used during the assessment process and/or in the creation of one (1) new training site for the volunteer/training program.
  • Provide education to employers regarding the employment, compensations and accommodations consumers may require in order for them to be successfully employed.
  • Negotiate work related issues such as schedules, job modifications, benefits, etc., with employers and other persons who have significant roles in the consumers' lives.
  • Provide consumers transportation to job fairs, potential employment sites and to and from interviews, as necessary.
  • Provide consumers assistance with completing applications and interview preparation.
  • Refer consumers and family members to appropriate community resources when applicable.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required, some college or undergraduate degree preferred. Background in marketing with advanced experience in sales or job development. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities ideal. Employment Service training certification required. Must be certified in CPR and first aid (these trainings will be provided upon hire along with required agency trainings).

MISCELLANEOUS: Must have a reliable vehicle and auto insurance.
