Estimator

Full Time Position

Description of Duties

  • Provide timely, accurate and clearly represented estimates and proposals utilizing industry specific software.
  • Examine bid documents, inquire on vendor alignment
  • Prepare quantitative bid documents for pricing using estimating software or field measurements, ensuring quantity accuracy, and as per plans and specifications
  • Communicate clarifications clearly and concisely with architects, contractors, and fellow staff
  • Negotiate pricing with manufacturer vendors and subcontractors to enhance profits
  • Present estimates to management or applicable staff to review profit margins, prepare final quotation for submittal
  • Timely follow up on bid results, seeking feedback to enhance the bid process and success
  • Provide estimates on change orders as needed

Qualifications

  • Two to four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Exceptional math skills and exposure to architectural drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
  • PC Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • 2 years prior experience with estimating software or quantitative estimates
  • Ability to multi task with little direct supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and background check is required.
