We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Quality Control Supervisor in our Quality department The Quality Control Supervisor position is responsible for monitoring the inspection and testing of incoming components, raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to Cosmos’s quality standards. Provides leadership to the Quality Control team by implementing organizational changes, developing and empowering staff, and coordinating communication between Quality Control and various Operations teams.
- Reviews and implements methods and procedures pertaining to the manufacture of finished goods.
- Demonstrate proper laboratory safety and housekeeping practices. Assure all activities meet FDA, ISO, and safety requirements.
- Ensure direct reports are effectively trained to perform daily tasks.
- Conduct and/or supervise laboratory Out of Specification investigations.
- Maintain and purchase laboratory supplies within the assigned budget.
- Ensure all new and existing equipment is maintained and operating to cGMP standards.
- Participates in cross-functional teams such as issue resolution, continuous improvement, and new product development.
- Continuously communicate priorities and issues to staff and cross-functional Plant Operations teams.
- Supports audits of the facility.
- Maintains the sample retain program.
- Maintains the Environmental Monitoring Program.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate employee performance of direct reports.
- Maintains and reviews laboratory and manufacturing documentation in accordance with Cosmos policies and procedures.
- Supervises adherence to all Quality Control lab processes and facilitates improvements.
- Other job duties, as assigned.
You will hold a bachelor’s degree in science or business-related programs. Five years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting is required. Knowledgeable of cGMP, FDA, (CFR), NASC, and ISO regulation, and one plus years of supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
The competencies you will hold are as follows
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Good technical and IT abilities.
- Strong Knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational and leadership skills
Work schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
