POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Manufacturing Engineer you’ll be at the forefront of aerospace and additive manufacturing technologies. In this role you will be tasked with owning and improving the manufacturing processes and reporting for a growing advanced manufacturing site. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, you will be challenged to ensure our processes meet our AS9100 certification. This role will also be responsible for daily production scheduling assistance to meet our monthly goals. It’s expected that you’ll work with the engineering and sales teams to assess manufacturing requirements of incoming opportunities and provide timely feedback on cost and feasibility of inspection/inspection limits. At ADDMAN Engineering you’ll be part of a rapidly growing world class engineering team, commonly interfacing internally with program managers, materials and process engineers, technicians, machinists, and company leadership. This role reports to the Plant Manager.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas.

  • Ability to convert customer supplied engineering and documentation into manufacturing routings and visual aids.
  • Ability to collaborate with commercial team to assess manufacturing requirements for incoming opportunities, and support estimating of internal and external manufacturing costs.
  • Support of internal and external audits of the sites manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Commitment to completing all job deliverables according to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Ability to collaborate with NC programming, quality, and production to review product for conformance to customer, supplier, or internal requirements at multiple stages in the manufacturing process.
  • Actively participates in team problem solving, process improvement, and technical decision making.
  • Lead internal efforts to enhance our manufacturing workflows.
  • Ability to mentor, teach, and be and observe as an engineering technical resource for the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Requirements:

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task
  • Previous aerospace manufacturing or quality experience.
  • CAD/CAM experience in SolidWorks, Unigraphics NX, Catia or similar software.
  • Experience with manufacturing /CNC machining processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • +2 years of working in a manufacturing environment in an engineering, quality, or technical role
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations
  • Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorshi

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This job operates in a professional additive manufacturing, traditional manufacturing and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as printing equipment, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
